There are multiple ways to add additional documents to a pack after it has already been uploaded. Read on to find out what those are!
Pack Merging Enhancement Overview
This release introduces far more flexibility into how documents and packs can be
managed in Raft. The feature set consists of three major areas of enhancement:
1. Additional documents can now be attached to pre-existing packs
2. Documents can now be moved one from one pack to another
3. Multiple packs can now be merged together
1. Uploading new documents to pre-existing packs
Until now, it wasn’t possible to add additional documents to an existing pack. If you
wanted to do this, both the old and the new documents had to be uploaded from
scratch. But now, by clicking the ‘Add’ button in the documents tab to the right of the
screen, a familiar window will open to upload the additional files (see screenshot below).

When new documents are attached to an existing pack, the pack will go back into
processing state and will then be accessible again once the new document(s) have
been added.
2. Moving documents between packs
Previously, if you wanted to move documents from one pack to another, you’d have to
create an entirely new pack from the documents you removed. Now however, you can
select the documents you want to move from one pack and select another existing pack
that you’d like to move them to. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Click ‘edit; in the documents tab

2. Then hit ‘remove documents’

3. You have the option to create a completely new pack from the selected
documents or to move them to an existing pack

4. If you select “Move to Existing Pack’, you’ll then see the familiar search UI where
you can find the target pack you want to move the document(s) to. Once you
make your selection, the documents will be moved.

3. Merging Packs
Finally, you’ll now be able to select 2 or more packs and merge them together
into a single pack.
1. bBulk select the packs you want to merge either by selecting a group of them
using shift, or by clicking the checkbox, and you’ll trigger the bulk actions menu.
2. There’s a new option at the top called ‘Merge Packs’. When pressed, the
selected packs will be merged into a single pack which will be accessible when it
has been processed
** Note: the new merged pack will be renamed to have “Merged:” as a prefix to the
pack title so you know that it’s been merged.

Additional Notes:
●When using any of these new features, a high-level summary of the action taken
and which user did it will be recorded in the pack history

●There are some constraints to when any of these new features can be used:
○If any of the packs being modified contain EDI or any other text-based files
○If native-excel is turned on and you are manipulating packs that contain excel files
